PURPOSE:
Record the Appointment of Lauren Kiefer to Post 6 of the DeKalb Arts Council as a Standing Member and the
Super District 6 Appointee
NEED/IMPACT:
Pursuant to Section 5(a) of Executive Order No. 2026-3 establishing the DeKalb Arts Council, Commissioner Terry hereby appoints Lauren Kiefer as a Standing Member to Post 6 of the DeKalb Arts Council as the Super District 6 Appointee. The stated mission of the DeKalb Arts Council is to strengthen and promote the cultural life of the community, support equitable access to artistic and cultural experiences, advise on policy, planning, and funding related to public arts and cultural activities, and foster partnerships among artists, cultural organizations, residents, and public agencies.
This item is submitted by Commissioner Terry for recording in the minutes. The term of the appointment is for four (4) years, effective March 1, 2026 through February 28, 2030.
