PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriation of $49,403.78 from District 2 ARP Tranche II funding for Margaret Harris School to provide enhancements for Multi-Sensory room, technology for augmentative and alternative communication devices, and technology for student academics.
NEED/IMPACT:
Margaret Harris Comprehensive School, a DeKalb County School in District 2, seeks to provide assistive technology for students with intellectual disabilities and Autism. This funding would provide specialized enhancements for a multi-sensory room, and technology for augmentative and alternative communication devices to assist with student academics (see attached).

Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $49,403.78 from District 2 American Rescue Plan (ARP) Tranche II funding for Margaret Harris School to provide enhancements for Multi-Sensory room, technology for augmentative and alternative communication devices, and technology for student academics and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
