PURPOSE:
To consider approval of a two-year Lease Agreement with Lease Agreement with Epps Air Service, LLC dba Aero Center Epps Atlanta, LLC, effective September 1, 2025; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the Agreement
NEED/IMPACT:
The lease was negotiated in accordance with the DeKalb County Code and accomplishes the following in part:
• Includes a current survey of Tract 5C.
• Establishes the monthly rent for Tract 5C.
The initial term of this lease is for two years. The lease contains the provision of four (4) automatic two-year extensions. Each extension includes a rent increase of seven percent (7%) or an increase based on the consumer price index (CPI) whichever is greater.
For tenant to rent Tract 5C, consisting of 0.19 acres (8300 square feet).
Rental is comprised of the actual monthly rental fee for the leased premises ($2365.50).
Pending Governing Authority approval, the County Attorney will review document for approval as to form.
The proposed lease was briefed to the Airport Advisory Board (AAB) on August 11, 2025, and a unanimous motion to recommend approval of the lease passed.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This is a revenue generating lease agreement. There is no cost to the County.
