PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on June 27, 2023 to CDM Smith, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $6,273,240.00 for design and engineering services during the construction of SFAWTF Expansion - Phase 3A. Modification to the Consent Decree commitments require that the SFAWTF have a peak influent pumping capacity of 160 MGD. Increasing the original design of a 129 million gallon daily (MGD) new influent pump station (IPS) to a 160 MGD IPS, The larger IPS requires additional design effort including additional work to fit the larger IPS within the plant infrastructure. The original contract performance time end date was February 14, 2031 with a contract term end date of December 31, 2030. This request is seeking to align the contract term expiration with the contract performance time expiration. Not meeting the new Consent Decree commitments will put DeKalb County in default.
