PURPOSE:
To appropriate 2022 reserve for appropriation funds from Commission District 6 to continue the partnership between D6 and MicroLife Institute towards addressing the issue of housing instability, homelessness, aging in place opportunities, visions to revitalize and bring life back to the "distressed" area, and environmental sustainability.

NEED/IMPACT:
The scope of work provided by the MicroLife Institute will continue to advise and support weekly Zoning and code submissions for District 6. Serve as council for the District 6 Office to improve housing options in DeKalb County by developing policy changes that encourage innovative housing developments and help address bikeability and walkability.
The MicroLife Institute will continue to serve as a policy consultant and specific event coordination for DeKalb County, specifically District 6's office's involvement in the tiny house festival and innovative housing summit. Consultant's role is to advise, convene, as well as be a strategic implementer of tactical urbanism and ideas that can spark conversation about new housing measures for DeKalb County. Through research, community engagement events, strategic planning and advice, the MicroLife Institute will work towards the goal of improving housing policy and use of space in DeKalb County.
