PURPOSE:

To Authorize the Acceptance of Revised GDOT Federal and State Funding Assistance Associated with the  Runway 16-34 Safety Area Improvements and Rehabilitation at DeKalb Peachtree Airport; and

To approve the execution of the attached resolution.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Federal funding assistance associated with Runway 16-34 Safety Area Improvements and Rehabilitation at DeKalb Peachtree Airport, was approved at the Board of Commissioners’ meeting on June 14, 2022, with a matching cost to the County. 

 

GDOT has since approved a revised allocation of federal and state funding.  Authorization is needed to accept a Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) revised allocation of federal and state funding assistance.  The revised federal and state funding assistance provides for improvements to sustain continued safety on the Airport.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The revised federal funding assistance includes FAA funding in an allocation of $5,023,411.65.  The revised state funding assistance includes state funding in an allocation of $5,810,818.13 for a total of $10,834,229.78.  There is a revised matching cost to the County in the amount of $2,034,512.41.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents....
