PURPOSE:
Consists of monitoring, repair, maintenance, replacement, and emergency service for various manufacturers for smoke detectors, signaling devices, manual pull stations, zone detectors, duct detectors, master panels and all components that comprise fire alarm systems, intrusion and call boxes for all County's facilities. Contractor shall be responsible for 24-hour monitoring of systems and provide written copy of all service calls. Additional locations may be added in future as designated by the County. Contractor shall provide a service program in which all components of each property's fire alarm system, elevator, intrusion and call boxes are maintained, repaired, inspected and tested at a schedule agreed upon by the Contractor and DeKalb County's Facilities Management staff. All work performed under these specifications for fire alarms shall comply with NFPA Standards and in accordance with local fire protection codes.
