PURPOSE:
To confirm DeKalb County Fire Rescue Medical Director Dr. Michael Carr to the Regional Emergency Services Council, District III. The Council functions under the authority of the Georgia Department of Public Health and Regulations and serves as the liaison between DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department and the regional EMS System. The Council is the local coordinating entity for Emergency Response Zones with Region 3, and coordinates, facilitates the improvement of, and maintains the quality of the EMS System in the eight (8) counties comprising EMS Region III (Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale).
NEED/IMPACT:
Dr. Michael Carr is the Medical Director for DeKalb County Fire Rescue and is appointed to the Region III Council representing DeKalb County Fire Rescue. His current appointment expires June 30, 2022. This proposal is for re-appointment to the same position on the Council.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the county.
