PURPOSE:
To consider approving federal state block funding in the amount of $57,000 (through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Georgia Department of Transportation), as part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriation Act (CRRSAA).
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the County and the Airport will receive $57,000 from the FAA’s state block grant program, as part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriation Act (CRRSAA).
The funding is in the amount of $57,000. The distribution will be provided at a 100% federal share with no local match required.
The funding can be spent immediately to help minimize any adverse impact from the current coronavirus public health emergency.
The County Attorney has not reviewed the grant documents.
Grant documents are in the Office of the Director, DeKalb Peachtree Airport.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This is federal state block funding to the County and the Airport in the amount of $57,000. There is no cost to the County.
