PURPOSE:
Transfer the appropriations of $110,000.00 from District 1's ARP Interest Fund Account (00201.582206.100.000) to DeKalb Planning and Sustainability to Extend the Scope of Work for the Presidential Parkway/Embry Hills Placemaking Study Plan.

NEED/IMPACT:
This expanded effort reflects the community's input and the County's vision to elevate the plan to a more comprehensive small area study. Building on the momentum of initial outreach and stakeholder conversations, the proposed scope includes expanding the study area to incorporate the Pleasantdale community, the soon to be vacated UPS facility, Embry Hills residential neighborhoods, and the Northlake Mall area. The expanded scope also includes land use and zoning analysis, mobility and infrastructure planning, housing and economic development strategies, and deeper community engagement, laying the groundwork for catalytic change and long term implementation

FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 1 American Rescue Plan (ARP) Interest Fund and will be appropriated to DeKalb Planning and Sustainability Department
