PURPOSE:
A resolution urging the Administration implement the specific recommendations outlined in the DeKalb County Racial Equity Study as adopted by the Board of Commissioners in 2025.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Board of Commissioners engaged with Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE) to develop a comprehensive, data-driven equity strategy aimed at integrating equitable practices into County operations. In 2025, the Board of Commissioners approved Agenda Item 2025-0521: “A Resolution in Support of Adoption of the Specific Recommendations Outlined in the DeKalb County Racial Equity Study.” This Resolution urges the implementation of the adopted recommendations and requests a status update on the specific recommendations within 90 days of the resolution passing.
