PURPOSE:
To consider acceptance of funding from Georgia Power in the amount of $250,000.00 and required match funds in the amount of $28,000.00 for a total grant of $278,000.00. To anticipate and appropriate funding.
NEED/IMPACT:
The purpose of the funding is to support the renovation of the Youth Farm’s tennis courts and pool house. This will complement the County’s broader vision for a 50-acre campus centered on youth development, agriculture, sustainability, healthy living, recreation, and long-term community well-being. It’s an investment in young people, and the future of South DeKalb.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The grant requires a match of $28,000.00. Project 106752, Award 602306, Cost Center 86101.
