Consists of the provision of healthcare services and initiatives to expand preventive healthcare access throughout DeKalb County, including the deployment and operation of a countywide mobile healthcare unit, expansion of maternal and prenatal healthcare services, and development of an additional community healthcare access site. PURPOSE:
MedCura Health, Inc. has been engaged to expand access to preventive healthcare throughout DeKalb County. The scope of services primarily includes, but is not limited to, the purchase, equipping, deployment, and operation of a countywide mobile healthcare unit serving underserved communities; expansion of maternal healthcare services, including women's health, prenatal care, postpartum care, and family planning; and renovation and development of an additional community healthcare access site to accommodate expanded pediatric and prenatal healthcare services. The services also include: 1) providing family medicine and pediatric services through the mobile healthcare unit; 2) increasing provider capacity and support staff to serve high-risk and underserved expectant mothers; 3) renovating and establishing an expanded community healthcare access point to provide family medicine and pediatric services; and 4) providing quarterly reporting on program activities, expenditures, patients served, outcomes, and progress toward the goals of the Agreement.
