PURPOSE:
To consider approving a mutual aid agreement between DeKalb County, Georgia and The City of Atlanta, Georgia for mutual assistance on fire and rescue delivery services.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Intergovernmental Agreement provides for automatic aid assistance between the respective fire departments for fire and/or rescue services. The Fire Department anticipates a reduction in response time to the designated area within this agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Pursuant to Intergovernmental Agreement.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Adopt the ordinance and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
