PURPOSE:

To improve quality of life and safety for individuals staying at DeKalb County hotels, nearby businesses, and residents

 

NEED/IMPACT:
DeKalb County lacks a comprehensive ordinance to regulate how Hotels, Motels, and Extended-Stay Hotels conduct business in DeKalb County.  The ordinance establishes new requirements that will assist DeKalb Police when following up on crimes.  Additionally, the ordinance creates basic standards that will enhance hotel cleanliness and life safety.
