PURPOSE:
To consider approving the purchase of a 2012 Volkswagen Passat SE VIN#1VWBP7A30CC035563 and authorize the addition to the vehicle fleet of the Police Department;
NEED/IMPACT:
Dekalb County Police Department received notification of forfeiture for seized property on the above mentioned vehicle. This vehicle was obtained through drug forfeitures. It is necessary for the Board of Commissioners to approve the purchase of this vehicle to support and be used for law enforcement purposes.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total cost of the vehicle is one thousand eight hundred sixty four dollars and seventy three cents ($1,864.73), which is currently available in the Police Federal Justice Forfeiture account under fund 210 Confiscated Funds.
