PURPOSE:
To consider approving funding ($295,000) for the CSX Transportation, Inc. (CSX) Agreement No. CSX838065 for the Clarkston Streetscape Project PI #007613 needed for construction of new 16-inch and 12-inch water line replacement along E. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Market Street, Rowland Street and Norman Road. The existing water mains were installed in the 1940s and 1960s and are constructed of asbestos-cement and cast iron pipe. The project is scheduled to start construction in mid-August 2017 with a completion date early January 2018. This CIP Project Line Item No. 36.
NEED/IMPACT:
The approval of the agreement will enable the county to construct the new water main within the CSX right-of-way.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The CSX Agreement No. CSX838065 for the Clarkston Streetscape Project shall not exceed $295,000. Funding will come from R&E Funds.

To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents for the appropriation of funding for the CSX Agreement No. CSX838065 in the amount not to exceed $295,000.
