PURPOSE:
To consider the attached Resolution, Order and Declaration of Taking for acquisition of certain right-of-way, permanent easement and driveway easement in Parcel 2 (Owner: James F. Perry & Company) - needed for the “DeKalb County School Sidewalk Project” (the “Project”);
and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The condemnation will enable the County to include the subject property in the Project to construct a sidewalk along the north side of Salem Road east of the intersection with Panola Road. The required property interests are valued at $12,600.00 and a certified letter has been sent to the property owner.
The County Attorney has reviewed the attached documents and approves as to form.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact to DeKalb County is $12,600.00. The funding sources are Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and HOST funds in fiscal year 2017.
