PURPOSE:
To consider transferring $60,000.00 from Project 100121, Award 601574 to Project 104437 for the Coventry Road Quiet Zone project; and
To consider authorizing the payment of $240,143.00 to CSX Transportation for the construction of new gates at the Coventry Road railroad crossing; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents for completion of the
project.
NEED/IMPACT:
The proposed transfer will move some of the remaining county funds from the completed South Fork Peachtree Creek Trail Phase IV project to complete funding for the Coventry Road Quiet Zone project. The addition of two gates will make the crossing eligible for quiet zone designation. The Board of Commissioners previously authorized another transfer of funds to the Coventry Road Quiet Zone project on July 12, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The proposed gates will have a cost to the county of $240,413.00.

Recommended Action
