PURPOSE:
To consider the acceptance of a donation in the amount of $6,500.00 from Jim Ellis Automotive Group for the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the Dekalb Police Department.
NEED/IMPACT:
Jim Ellis Automotive Group recently contacted the Police Department regarding their wish to donate funds to assist CID. Donations in excess of $2,500 currently require Board of Commission approval. These funds will assist with the investigative functions of Department. The division is currently divided into three areas: The Major Crimes Section, Special Investigations Section and the Special Victims Section.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The acceptance of this donation will provide additional financial support for the Division.
