PURPOSE:
To transfer $35,000 from District 4 Parks Bond Account for installation of a pavilion a capital improvement project at Wade Walker Park.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funds are needed for capital improvement project at Wade Walker Park. This includes the installation of a pavilion for guest of the park. The Pavilion will be an added amenity for constituents visiting the park. Wade Walker Park netball and tennis players are extremely active but lack a covered rest area. A pavilion would provide shade and protection from inclement weather as well as encourage folks to picnic, watch, and perhaps participate in sport activities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact to the 2017 fiscal budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend that funds in the amount of $35,000 be transferred from 2001 Parks Bond District 4 account for Pavilion capital improvement at Wade Walker Park located at 5585 Rockbridge Road Stone Mountain and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents and contracts for the completion of the project.
