PURPOSE:
Consists of mold remediation, abatement and facility repairs for the Porter Sanford Performing Art Center and the Voter’s Registration Building. An attempt was made to obtain competitive quotes, but only one vendor provided a timely response. Active mold growth was found present and being distributed through the HVAC unit at both locations causing temporary closings and/or closed operable areas. These locations experienced scheduled event cancellations and caused a loss of essential governmental services.

2. Justification: Per the Purchasing Policy, this is an immediate threat to the public and employees’ health. This has also caused a loss of essential county governmental services.
