PURPOSE:
Pursuant to 13A of the Organizational Act where “The chief executive shall nominate a person by sending a written notice to the commission,” CEO Thurmond is nominating Ms. Elizabeth (Bebe) Joyner for reappointment onto the DeKalb County Public Library Board. This is a three (3) year term which would begin on January 1, 2018 and expire on December 31, 2021.
NEED/IMPACT:
Ms. Joyner has served on the DeKalb County Public Library Board (DCPL) admirably for the past several years. Her longstanding relationship with DCPL and her extensive institutional knowledge will contribute greatly toward the continued stability of DCPL.
