PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing the payment to Georgia Power of up to $217,264.00 for relocation of overhead power lines for the construction of sidewalk along Flat Shoals Road, Henderson Road, and Salem Road; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents pertaining to this project.
NEED/IMPACT:
Georgia Power will need to relocate distribution lines in order for DeKalb County to construct new sidewalk along Flat Shoals Road from 2nd Avenue to Whites Mill Road, Henderson Road from Henderson Mill Road to Lavista Road, and Salem Road from Panola Road to Fannin Drive.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Existing CIP funds for this project will cover the $217,264.00 Georgia Power relocation cost. Additional funding will be needed to enable the sidewalk construction to move forward in 2018.
