PURPOSE:
To allow Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) to construct a CNG fuel station, utilizing an estimated $1.95M of their capital. The station will be located at Sanitation’s East Collection Lot/Transfer Station - 1750 Rogers Lake Road, Lithonia 30058.
NEED/IMPACT:
Sanitation collection employees providing Sanitation service in this district currently travel to the Seminole Landfill and Central Transfer Station to fuel their CNG vehicles. This station would also be open to the public, servicing external county units, as in the case of the department’s other two (2) stations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Reduction in travel time for department’s CNG vehicles and further reduction in need to use private suppliers in the area.
