PURPOSE:
To initiate a text amendment to the Bouldercrest-Cedar Grove- Moreland Overlay District to amend the Table of Uses to allow child day care facility as a permitted use with a SLUP in Tier 5, to amend streetscape standards within single family detached subdivisions, and review architectural standards.
NEED/IMPACT:
Currently have request to operate a child day care facility (up to 6 kids) in a home, which is reasonable in a neighborhood with a SLUP. Streetscape standards on subdivision streets are too stringent and need to be more in line with current standards in Art. 5 of the zoning code. Also need to review architectural standards.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact.

Recommended Action
Staff recommends Approval of the initiation of the text amendment and deferral the item full cycle to the Board of Commissioners zoning meeting March 27, 2018.
