PURPOSE:
To comply with the requirements of HB 146 by purchasing both Cancer and Long-Term Disability coverage for firefighters with a January 1, 2018 effective date.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend award of contract to ACCG to provide HB 146 compliant coverage for firefighters effective January 1, 2018. Estimated annual premium is $106,600. To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Cancer Coverage Benefit: Lump Sum benefit paid upon diagnosis.
Long-term Disability Benefit: 60% of pre-disability salary.
