PURPOSE:

To consider accepting grant award in the amount of $7,400 from the (FDHA) in order to provide health and wellness education courses to youth involved in the court and to fund the courts annual community health fair.

To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer and/or his designee to execute the grant agreement and all necessary related documents.    

 

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Our court is instrumental in targeting the holistic needs of delinquent, abused, and neglected children. This grant will provide the court the opportunity to continue our efforts in promoting health and wellness through our comprehensive health and wellness program that benefits the youth, families, staff, and community of DeKalb County.

 

FY18 FDHA Community Health Grants Program award funds will be used to cover the costs of the juvenile courts comprehensive health, wellness and fitness program. The grant period is from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. The amount awarded is $7,400.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The grant award will provide additional funds to the Juvenile Court’s overall grants budget.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.....
