PURPOSE:

To consider accepting and appropriating an additional $9,079.00 from the Clifton Corridor Transportation Management Association (CCTMA) into an existing account (Project 104614) for use as the local match for the Clifton Corridor Pedestrian and Bicycle Sub-Area Connectivity Study (GDOT PI No. 0015066).

NEED/IMPACT:

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) have awarded $100,000.00 towards a comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian connectivity study within an approximate two mile radius of the Clifton Corridor.  The study will recommend facility types and locations to connect with major generators, activity centers, transit and exiting pedestrian/bicycle networks. The bids came in higher than the initial estimate.  CCTMA has already contributed $25,000.00 for the local match.  This $9,079.00 is to cover the remaining funds needed for the project.

FISCAL IMPACT:

By accepting this funding, DeKalb County will no longer be required to fund the 20% local match for the federal funds or the bid overages.
