PURPOSE:
To consider the attached Resolution, Order and Declaration of Taking for acquisition of certain fee simple right of way, temporary easement and driveway easement in Parcel 8- needed for the “Rockbridge Road Project” (the “Project”);
and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The condemnation will enable the County to include the subject property in the Project to add a center turn lane, bike lanes, and sidewalks along Rockbridge Road from Allgood Road to Rowland Road. The required property interests are valued at $8,500.00 and a certified letter has been sent to the property owner.
The County Attorney has reviewed the attached documents and approves as to form.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact to DeKalb County is $8,500.00. The funds will be reimbursed by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
