PURPOSE:
Consists of purchasing a unique blend of non-pathogenic anaerobic bacteria and a nutrient chemical treatment program for hydrogen sulfide, grease and odor control for use at County water plants. DWM has performed tests and trials using similar blends produced by other vendors; however, State Chemical Solutions is the only company that has provided the most effective blend of bacterial and nutrient treatment to date. This program will provide cost savings to the County since fewer chemicals are needed to reach the intended results leading to a reduction in labor needed to vacuum and clean wet wells.
