PURPOSE:
To transfer $25,000.00 from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account 100585.80314.541200.06.600020 to fund a grant match for Frazier-Rowe Park.
NEED/IMPACT:
This funding is needed to match a Park Pride grant secured by the Friends of Frazier-Rowe Park. Total cost of the project is $100,000.00 with the following funding sources:
- Park Pride Grant $50,000
- DeKalb County District 2 Parks Bond Match $25,000
- Friends of Frazier-Rowe Park Fundraising Programs $15,000
- Book Sales $1,000
- OCUMC BBQ $1,000
- DeKalb County Code Enforcement $2,000
- Local Businesses $5,000
- Oak Grove Festival $1,000
The funds will be used to build a pavilion with supporting amenities including benches, parking and a cement path for accessibility that connects to the other areas of the park.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact, just a transfer of funds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend that funds in the amount of $25,000.00 be transferred from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account 100585.80314.541200.06.600020 to fund a grant match for Frazier-Rowe Park; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents and contracts for the completion of the project.
