PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing addition to the fleet of three vehicles via the District Attorney’s Asset Forfeiture funds; and
To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute any necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The District Attorney’s Office has fourteen aging pool cars that were previously in the vehicle replacement plan and have now moved to surplus. This has begun to pose a safety hazard for investigators utilizing the vehicles in the normal course of their job responsibilities, and there is no current avenue for the cars’ replacement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. The D.A. will be utilizing Asset Forfeiture funds for the purchase.

Recommended Action
To approve the addition to the fleet of three vehicles via the District Attorney’s Asset Forfeiture Funds and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
