PURPOSE:
To appropriate funding to replace 76 shower floors in the DeKalb County Jail, together with addressing leaky pipe chase doors and locking system; and to remediate mold found in 38 areas of the Jail and to restore those areas.
NEED/IMPACT:
To ensure the health and wellbeing of inmates housed in and staff assigned to work in the DeKalb County Jail.

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer and/or sheriff to execute all necessary documents to replace 76 shower floors in the DeKalb County Jail, together with addressing leaky pipe chase doors and locking system; to remediate mold found in 38 areas of the Jail and to restore those areas; and to appropriate funding for same.
