PURPOSE:

To consider accepting $141,343.00 for the DeKalb County Superior Court -Veterans Treatment Court from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriating the amount to the Grant Fund.

To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute any necessary documents.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council has awarded $141,343.00 for the DeKalb County Superior Court -Veterans Treatment Court to use toward training, psychiatric services, treatment services, drug testing, housing, medication, and transportation costs for program participants as well as program coordinator salary.  The grant period is from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.  The required cash match will be met through the Superior Court operating and DATE Fund budget.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for all services provided by Criminal Justice Coordinating Council Grant in the amount of $141,343.00. Funding has to be spent by June 30th 2019, end of State FY 19.

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents. To accept $141,343.00 for DeKalb County Superior Court- Veterans Treatment Court from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriate the amount to the Grant Fund.
