PURPOSE:
To consider accepting award of $143,773.00 to benefit the DUI Court Program from the CACJ with a match of $15,974.78 and appropriating the amount to the Grant Fund and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute any necessary documents for said award.
NEED/IMPACT:
The CACJ has granted an awarded of $143,773.00 to the DUI Court Program. Funds are to be used for drug testing, individual and group counseling, transportation assistance for participants and to add a Case Manager position. The required match of $15,974.78 will be met through the State Court - DUI Court operating and DATE Fund budget. The grant period is July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The award of $143,773 and the required match of $15,974.78 from the CACJ to the DUI Court Program has to be spent in FY'19 (July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019).
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents. Accept the award from the CACJ in the amount of $143.773, with a required match of $15,974.78 for FY'19 to benefit the DeKalb County DUI Court Program and appropriate the amount to the Grant Fund.
