PURPOSE:

To consider the attached Resolution, Order and Declaration of Taking for acquisition of certain permanent easement in Parcel 5 needed for the “South River Trail Phase 5 Project” (the “Project”);
and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.  

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The condemnation will enable the County to include the subject property in the Project to construct a non-motorized vehicle multiuse trail from Doolittle Creek to Waldrop Road.  The required property interests are valued at $21,100.00 and a certified letter has been sent to the property owner.

 

The County Attorney has reviewed the attached documents and approves as to form.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The fiscal impact to DeKalb County is $21,100.00. The funds will be reimbursed by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

Adopt the attached Resolution, Order and Declaration of Taking for acquisition of certain permanent easement in Parcel 5 (Owner: P8 Sealy 3370 Panthersville, LLC) needed for the “South River Trail Phase 5 Project”; and To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
