PURPOSE:
To consider approving a Revenue Contract between DeKalb County and the Georgia Department of Human Services in an amount not to exceed $604,608.for transportation services for DeKalb County seniors and persons with disabilities for the period July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

NEED/IMPACT:
DeKalb County has participated in the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) Coordinated Transportation System since 2003 to provide rides to eligible older adults and persons with disabilities to the senior centers, group trips, medical appointments and dialysis treatments. For the past two years the County contracted with Atlanta Regional Commission to provide transportation services for DeKalb County seniors. This contract expires at the end of June hence the need for the Revenue Contract with DHS.
The total estimated cost to provide these transportation services for SFY 2019 is $845,135. The revenue contract portion is comprised of $404,607 of federal and state funds and $200,000 from the County totaling $604,608. The DHS state funding will cover the difference of $240,528.
This Revenue Contract will allow the County to reimburse DHS for trips provided to DeKalb County seniors. This is an annual contract which covers the period July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. The County's funds will be available in the project/award # 100453/600240 and the ARC grant awards. The Revenue Contract is under review by the County's Law Department and Purchasing has indicated that Law will approve as to form when the contract is approved by the Board of Commissioners.
