PURPOSE:

On February 13, 2018, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. 970029 (Purchase of Automobiles, Vans & Trucks w/ Turnkey Packages & Accessories - Annual w/2 options to Renew) and the appropriation of $402,000 in SPLOST funds for the purchase of 10 Quick Response Vehicles. This contract is for upfitting vehicles to include equipment, power supplies, emergency lighting, and other accessories. The competitively bid U.S. Communities Cooperative Agreement is the most efficient method of purchase as it will allow for a single point of coordination. The units will be delivered between December 2018 and March 2019.

Recommended Action

Recommend approval of appropriation of SPLOST funds and approval to purchase from U.S. Communities Contract No. 128867 with:

 

Farber Specialty Vehicles, 7052 Americana Parkway, Columbus, OH 43068

 

Amount Not To Exceed: $1,496,580.00
