PURPOSE:
To adopt an Ordinance that assists in water conservation with the additional benefit of ensuring a sufficient and continuous supply of potable water for domestic service and fire protection. Required by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) as written in the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District (MNGWPD) Plan.
NEED/IMPACT:
Required by the MNGWPD Water Supply and Water Conservation Plan. Currently received notice of violation from EPD for failure to comply with requirement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Revenue neutral.

Recommended Action
Adopt the ordinance and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
