PURPOSE:
To accept a donation of equipment from CityDog Market of DeKalb County, valued in excess of $2,500.
NEED/IMPACT:
Several months back, CityDog Market of DeKalb County identified an opportunity to protect our most loyal companions, our dogs. Pet rescuers are instruments that provide oxygen to our dogs in times of critical need. Keeping that in mind, CityDog Market went on a mission to raise funds through raffles, social media campaign and direct outreach. During this time, there was an actual fire in which a pet rescuer breathing apparatus was used to save a family’s pet dog. CityDog Market successfully raised $7405.53 to go toward the mission. On behalf of the Dekalb County Fire and Rescue services, I am asking that we accept these funds to support the purchase of more pet rescuers to be distributed throughout the county.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
