PURPOSE:
To accept the benefits, terms and conditions of the 2017 Assistance To Firefighters Grant from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security. The grant to be used for the purchase of equipment for cleaning of Turn-out gear and related equipment. The amount of the award is $154,546.00. The grant requires a 10% match of $15,454.00. The proposed period of performance will be from 9/5/18 to 9/4/19.
NEED/IMPACT:
The grant will enable Fire Rescue to purchase $170,000 of equipment and establish regular cleaning schedule for personal equipment used if fighting fires.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Grant Funds Match. Not to exceed $15,454 over the one year term of the grant.
