PURPOSE:
To recommend the approval of the Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Center Action Plan and to appropriate operational, staffing and service contracts to ensure opening of the facility in the summer of 2019
NEED/IMPACT:
The Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Center Action Plan outlines the necessary steps needed to get this major RCPA amenity operational and open to the public by the summer of 2019. It is a comprehensive plan that includes staffing needs, service and maintenance contracts, current and future capital improvements, and operational objectives. It also includes a five year projection of revenues and expenses for the center. The approval of the Action Plan will allow RCPA to escalate the rehabilitation process for the Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Center.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding for the capital improvements outlined in the plan consists of $600,000 from CVB Funds (Hotel/Motel Tax) approved by the Board of Commissioners in September 2017 and $1,000,000 from SPLOST.

To approve the Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Center Action Plan; and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents for the completion of the project
