PURPOSE:
•To consider approving the 2016 - 2017 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to receive project equipment; and
•To consider accepting project equipment purchased by UASI on behalf of the DeKalb Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) and police emergency operations in the amount of $183,692.40; and
•To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
This MOU governs the provision and use of equipment purchased by the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) for sustaining the Citizen Corps Program, Interoperability Program, and the WebEOC.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Equipment will be purchased on behalf of DeKalb Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) and police emergency operations:
