PURPOSE:

Consists of piggybacking off the competitively let U.S. Communities cooperative agreement via the Lead Agency, County of Fairfax, Virginia to provide public safety and emergency preparedness equipment and related services. This request is for the purchase of (21) stainless steel extractor/washers and (21) drying cabinets to clean firefighter turnout gear.  This will allow onsite cleaning for immediate removal of carcinogenic material, bodily fluid and hazardous chemicals encountered in the line of duty.
