PURPOSE:
To transfer $43,500.00 from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account 100592.80314.541100.05.600010 to a District 2 Zonolite Park Development account to match a Park Pride Community Building Grant.
NEED/IMPACT:
This funding is needed to match a Park Pride grant secured by the Friends of Zonolite Park. Total cost of the project is $93,910.00 with the following funding sources:
$39,004.00 Park Pride Grant
$43,500.00 DeKalb County Government 2001 Parks Bond District 2
$9,656.00 Friends of Zonolite Park
$1,750.00 In-Kind Services
The funds will be used to build a 150-foot boardwalk along a new trail that floods; build two bridges over small creeks; install fencing and irrigation around the garden; and continue to build out and improve the garden.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact to the operating buget. Funded by 2001 Parks BOND District 2.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend that funds in the amount of $43,500 be transferred from the 2001 Parks BOND District 2 account 100592.80314.541100.05.600010 to a District 2 Zonolite Park Development account to match a Park Pride Community Building Grant; and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents and contracts for the completion of this project.
