PURPOSE:

To track water loss through private fire lines from usage, water waste, and potential illicit water use in compliance with the 2017 Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Water Resource Management Plan and to account for the water use in the system (2017 had approximately 5.6 billion gallons of water, which could not be accounted as to use). 

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Required by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division as part of the 2017 Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Water Resource Management Plan.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

None to the County.  Minimal to developers or property owners. 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Adopt the ordinance and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents and comply with the 2017 Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Water Resource Management Plan.
