PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on June 9, 2015 for an amount not to exceed $187,869,380.00. On November 13, 2018, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to extend the contract term to December 31, 2020 and to increase funding by an amount not to exceed $350,797.46; Change Order No. 2 to increase funding by an amount not to exceed $599,549.04; and Change Order No. 3 to increase the contract time by 90 days. This contract consists of blasting and clearing of rock; construction of a retaining wall; demolition of existing tankage and equipment; construction of the new headwork, biological reactors, membrane bio-reactors (MBR), chemical storage and feed facilities; and modifications to the chlorine contact basin, sludge dewatering, sludge holding tank, and odor control units. This request is to provide lump sum reasonable actual costs incurred due to work suspension at the Dewatering Building from January 28, 2016 through October 27, 2016 while DWM verified if it would be cost effective for the County to process all sludge at an existing facility.
