PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on March 27, 2018 for an amount not to exceed $390,000.00. On January 24, 2017, the BOC approved the 1st Sole Source for an amount not to exceed $308,000.00. Consists of purchasing a unique group of non-pathogenic anaerobic bacteria and a nutrient chemical treatment program for hydrogen sulfide, grease and odor control for use at County water plants. DWM has performed tests and trials using similar blends produced by other vendors; however, State Chemical Solutions is the only company that has provided the most effective blend of bacterial and nutrient treatment to date. The efficiency of the chemicals has helped to save the County money since fewer chemicals are needed to reach the intended results. The importance of this program is to prevent pumps and force mains from clogging up and causing eventual sewer spills. This request will provide for the continuation of usage for an additional one (1) year period.
