PURPOSE:
To consider approving a contract with the City of Brookhaven in an amount not to exceed $105,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for ADA compliant renovations of the Lynwood Park Recreation facility located at 3360 Osborne Road, Brookhaven, GA 30319.
NEED/IMPACT:
The BOC approved the update to the 2014 - 2018 Consolidated Plan including the 2017 Annual Action Plan on August 8, 2017, which allocated CDBG funding to the City of Brookhaven to enable completion of this renovation project that will make the Lynwood Recreation Centers restrooms accessible to individuals with disabilities. CDBG funds will be leveraged with additional City funds to complete the renovation work to make the center more user friendly to individuals with disabilities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no cost to the County.
